我把球投出去，你接球。
接下来，换你投球，我接球。

“想告诉你我的心……”是沟通的第一步，就像传球一定需要球一样，沟通时，我们需要将彼此的心情传达出来。

"I want to tell you about my feelings."
That was how communicating began.
Just as we need to throw the ball
back and forth to have a game of catch,
we need to tell each other our feelings to communicate.

如果"catch no ball"是该怪接球人心不在焉，或是传球人忽略了接球人的“接球技巧”，把球抛得过高或过于快速？

"Catch no ball"是有可能的。接球人心不在焉 或是 传球人忽略了接球人的“接球技术”，都有可能造成"catch no ball"。

"Playing catch"是要双向的，如果一方要玩，另一方不玩，接球人拒绝接球，这游戏就不能继续玩下去。

传球，不能太近也不能太远，拿捏非常困难。
沟通也是一样，我们与情人、朋友、小孩或父母，
如果太过于接近和同化，就会无法顺利沟通。

your lover or your friend or

it is not easy to communicate.

彼此的沟通是不可能同时开始的。
任何沟通，都是一方开始的。当你把心中的球投出去的时候，
你就开启了大门。

Communication doesn't begin
with both people speaking at the same time.
One side or the other must make the first move.
Someone has to throw the first ball.

大部分的人都不愿意先投出这一球，宁可等待对方先把球投过来。
因为要是自己先把球投过去而对方不理睬的话，那就太令人伤心了。

But you might not want to throw the ball first.
You might want to wait for someone to throw it to you.
Because when you throw it and no one tries to catch it, you are unhappy.
